Cash to Cover Operating Expenses is Essential: in order to continue to provide the many spiritual and corporal works of mercy that St. Leo’s provides for the residents of the struggling neighborhood of North Fairmount, we must be able to turn on the lights and electronic equipment, plug in the freezers and refrigerators in the food pantry, heat the buildings, answer the phones, access running water, repair and maintain our physical plant and compensate our small, dedicated and determined staff. Without these we simply cannot answer Jesus’ call to love our neighbors as ourselves.
We rely on you without taking you away from your own parish and our hope is that we give to you additional experiences to live the gospel in accord with your own parish mission statement but in ways different from what your parish may be able to offer you.

Fall 2022 Dear Parishioner(s) and Friend(s) of St. Leo Parish,
As we continue to enjoy the final days of this gorgeous autumn season, all of us are certainly looking forward to and preparing ourselves for the upcoming four weeks of Advent, and then celebrating, once again, the joyous season of Christmas and the birth of the Christ child. With the diverse and welcoming spirit of St. Leo Parish, we will participate fully in these celebrations with our deep sense of commitment to this wonderful community and its future endeavors. We continue to be abundantly blessed, and we thank those who, through the years, have always shown us great love and support. There is no doubt our enduring legacy is attributable to individuals like you who have given your time, talent, and treasure so freely and with so much devotion. With that I thank you. Since 1886, when the first German immigrants founded this special parish to today’s diverse family of faith, we have continued to spread the Good News of Jesus Christ to the North Fairmount community and beyond. We have flourished during good times and bad because we care so much about the individuals and community we serve. Good things are happening at St. Leo’s! We continue to value our wonderful outreach ministries such as the St. Leo Food Pantry, our immigrant ministries, St. Leo Youth Group, and our commitment to our innumerable works of mercy and justice for all. We pray, thank God, and give Him thanks every Saturday at 6:00 PM, Sunday at 10:30 AM, Wednesdays at 11:30 AM, and Thursday at 7:00 PM. In order to keep our doors open, advance our ministry, and remain a beacon of light in the community, we are making a Christmas Appeal for funds. As we did last year, we are asking parishioners and friends to contribute beyond their Sunday offering and other donated amounts to this appeal.
